What it is
Stability, for dentures that used to move.
Rather than resting on the gums, this denture clips onto a small number of implants placed in the jaw. It doesn't move when you eat or talk, doesn't need adhesive, and preserves the bone that a removable denture slowly lets shrink. Most cases need four to six implants per jaw.
What to expect
More visits, considerably more stability.

Planning: 3D scan, a discussion of how many fixtures your jaw needs, and a written cost across the whole course.

Implant placement, usually in one appointment per jaw.

A healing period of three to four months, wearing a temporary denture throughout.

Scans and a try-in, so the shape and shade are agreed before the final piece is made.

Fitting, then reviews at three, six and twelve months.

Can I take it out?+
Depends on the design. Clip-on versions come out for cleaning; fixed bridges stay put and are cleaned around. We'll go through both.
Is it worth the extra over a normal denture?+
If your lower denture moves when you eat, almost certainly. If your upper denture is stable and comfortable, possibly not — and we'll say so.
How do I clean it?+
A water flosser and a small interdental brush, daily. We'll show you in the chair and again at the six-month review.
