What it is
A plan you see before you commit.
Aligners are a series of clear trays, each moving your teeth a fraction of a millimetre. We scan your mouth, plan the movement digitally, and show you the finish before you decide. Then it's a new tray every week or two, worn 20–22 hours a day, with check-ins every six weeks.
What to expect
Trays, check-ins, and patience.
- 1
Scan and photographs, then a planning appointment where you watch the simulated movement on screen.
- 2
A cost and timeline in writing, including what happens if you stop halfway.
- 3
First trays fitted, with small tooth-coloured attachments bonded on to grip them.
- 4
Six-weekly check-ins — short appointments, mostly confirming the teeth are tracking the plan.
- 5
Retainers at the end, permanently. Teeth drift back if you let them.
Questions
Asked about this one, most often.
Are they invisible?+
Close, at conversational distance. The attachments are the visible part, and they come off at the end.
What if I don't wear them enough?+
The teeth stop tracking the plan and the timeline stretches. We'd rather you told us than quietly fell behind — refinements are normal and we build for them.
Are aligners right for every case?+
No. Big rotations and bite corrections are still better handled with braces, and we'll say so rather than sell you the newer thing.
